Marie-Caroline Compans holds a PhD in Demography from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the Institut national d’études démographiques (INED). She is currently working at the University of Vienna (Wittgenstein Centre – IIASA, OeAW, University of Vienna) as a postdoc associate on the project “Later fertility in Europe”. She is interested in male and female fertility by age and family norms.
